Brazil was our first stop in South America and were our journey began.
Brazil’s language is Portuguese which differs from its neighbours in Argentina and Uruguay meaning you might want to learn some of the basics in Spanish and Portuguese for your trip.
In regards to LGBT rights, couples have the right to marry (2013), adopt and serve openly in the army. However, Brazil has recently became a dangerous place the LGBT community with 300+ murders taking place. This is linked to the presidential candidate: Jair Bolsonaro and his right wing policies.
